GEC Consulting is a full-service geotechnical engineering consulting firm. GEC Consulting’s capabilities include performing geotechnical and geological investigations and geohazard evaluations and providing geotechnical engineering support through final design and construction. We provide full-coordination with various subconsultants for completion of subsurface exploration, permit applications, and geotechnical laboratory testing programs.

Our engineers are experienced in performing engineering analyses for design of both deep and shallow foundations systems, including developing load-deformation relationships for use in seismic design and nonlinear analyses, restrained and unrestrained retaining walls, underground utilities and structures, reinforced earth embankments, static and dynamic settlement, bearing capacity, resistance to lateral loads, lateral earth pressures, static and pseudo-static slope stability, liquefaction evaluation, post-tensioned slabs, effects of surcharge loads, seepage analyses, and flexible pavement design.

Our construction-phase services typically include observations during foundation construction, observations and testing services during earthwork and grading operations (including fill density testing), observations during surface and subsurface drainage construction, and providing geotechnical construction administration services.
